Halloween in the Philippines can either be scary and spooktacular or magical and beautiful, with many celebrities showing off elaborate pop culture costumes in honor of the spooky holiday.

This year, Filipina beauty queens are back in their Halloween best, taking their creativity and style to the universe. 

Wearing that Joker smile, Miss Universe 2021 finalist Beatrice Luigi Gomez dressed up as the iconic Joker in all her glory.

Her transformation was brought to life with the artistic talents of her makeup team, including Nix Soriano and Leilani Bamba-Rizon, who crafted the perfect look to embody the character’s creepy and chaotic essence.

Miss Universe 2023 semi-finalist Michelle Dee also joined in as DEEYONCÉ, and she came out to play. “DEEYONCÉ is coming out to play!!” she wrote.

Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up commented, “Saan po makakabili ng DEEYONCE DOLL? SLAAAAY!”

It’s not just one but a series of Instagram posts featuring the living Barbie doll herself. In her most recent video, she donned a sash that read “Cowgirl MMD” while playfully captioning it, “Deeyoncé, over and out!”

Heavenly indeed, as Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray transformed into the universe’s angel in stunning photos showcasing her in a pink sheer lace bodysuit, paired with silver high heels and sparkling jewelry, all topped off with a glamorous platinum blonde wig.

Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up and Gray’s best friend, Nicole Cordoves, complemented the angelic theme in her own pink sheer lace ensemble, complete with matching gloves, a darker blonde wig and magnificent angel wings. She playfully captioned her post, “Can’t catch an angel.”
