MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has personally visited families affected by Typhoon Marce (international name: Yinxing) in Buguey, Cagayan.
He also distributed P80 million in financial assistance to eight areas in the province.
Article continues after this advertisementIn a Facebook Live, Marcos was seen handing out P10 million cash assistance to residents of Buruey, Aparri, Sanchez-Mira, Santa Teresita, Baggao, Gattaran, Gonzaga and Santa Ana.

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) chief Rex Gatchalian and Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara were also on hand, among others.

Marce’s impact reportedly killed one person, according to the latest report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Marce brought floods to 42 areas in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley).
